Conquests

A small-but-mighty tactical, dice battling, area control game for
1-4 players - inspired by medieval dice games.
Designed by Leon Simmonds.

This game was really fun to create, so I hope you enjoy playing it as much as I did making it. It was designed to be small, simple and quick, but with plenty of engaging tactical play too, so let's teach you how to play!
And here you can watch some of the gameplay in action
As well as the base game, I have also created a solo mode, advanced rules
and alternative game mode. You can read and print them out here:

+ alternative gameplay mode

Print replacement map + rules
Whenever your map / rulesheet needs replacing, you can download
and print a new copy here. There is both a full colour / low ink version available.
(We recommend printing on parchment paper for a more immersive experience)
Gameplay F A Q
“During set up, If I roll a (2),
(12), or a 7/8, do I use their
effects listed on the bottom of the map?'
No. during set up you ignore these special effects and keep
rolling until you get an empty realm on the map,
then place your general there.
“During set up, what if I roll the number
of another players General?"
Either just re-roll until you get an empty realm, or
place your General on the next highest/lowest
available empty realm (number).
“What are the crowns for?”
They are used in an alternative game mode called
‘Crown and castle’, but can also be used to mark
a protected realm (when you roll a ).
"Can generals attack other generals?"
No. They can only attack knights. As soon as a General
moves into a Knights realm, it instantly captures that Knight.
"Can you attack a castle if there are 2 units there?"
No. There can only be units of one colour per realm.
“Does a block all numbers in a battle?”
No. It only blocks a in which case it counts as a tie.
All ties are resolved by both players rollling (once), until there is a winner.
“Does killing a knight remove it from the game entirely?”
Yes. These cannot be mustered or rescued.
In a 3 or 4 player game: "Can I rescue another
players knight using the rescue action?"
Yes. You can choose any other players General,
and if you successfully roll it's number, you can
then choose to take any one of it's captured Knights.
So this can be used as an additional layer of tactical play!
